Lucas Forte - Construction Project Manager.

Lucas is particularly connected to and passionate about our built environment. The road to discovery of his passion included, at approximately age 7, telling his parents how Taco Bell could improve their floor plan. At 10 he cut drapes to cover his cluttered bookshelves because they were a distraction. At 21 he built a deck with a small crew. It was during that experience that he thought, “I think I could do this for a living”. In 2011 he began building custom homes as a superintendent in California, and after learning how to build homes he began to draw them. Today, he enjoys designing just as much as building.

In late 2022, after running his own design-build firm for three years, Lucas and his family moved up to Bend, Oregon from Redlands, California for quality of life and joined Life Design Build. Now in Central Oregon he’s excited to white water raft, backcountry ski, and have a good time with his family in their new home.

If ever in need of a topic of conversation ask him how building a home is like chartering a ship to sail to a distant island. Just make sure to bring a hot or cold beverage because you might be talking for a while.
