Ben Houser grew up in carpentry and custom home building through the support of his father, a general contractor in Virginia. From a young age, and every summer throughout college, he was helping on job sites. Once he graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia in 2012, Ben began managing the company’s communications, project management, and carpentry. In 2018, Ben relocated to the Pacific Northwest to support his wife’s military career. They lived in Portland for 6 years where he focused on historic restoration and high-end remodeling.

With Life Design Build, Ben values a diverse and unique opportunity to innovate and create. “I enjoy creating something special for each client. I keep all of my skills fresh because each project can be wildly different.”

Outside of work Ben enjoys everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Notably, Ben often spends his weekends hiking a mountain or teaching his 5-year old how to ski.
