Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, Kyle grew up climbing trees, building forts, playing soccer and shredding Mt. Bachelor. Kyle met his beautiful wife at the age of 17 and together they adventured from Bend, to the Willamette Valley, to Colorado and to Europe on a backpacking adventure that lasted 6 months. Kyle graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Minored in Ecological Conservation. He later worked on several farms overseas and managed 3 different organic veggie farms in Central Oregon.

Over the years Kyle grew a passion for building, eventually culminating in the desire to learn how to build his own home. To do so, Kyle obtained a job with a local Bend builder, Yod Branch, where he worked for 9 years doing everything from concrete work, to framing, to fine finish carpentry, to tile. Kyle later teamed up with his childhood friend, Dylan Woock, on their joint venture, Bivvi, to manufacture bespoke modern and portable tiny home cabins. Eventually, both Kyle and Dylan would join forces with Life Design Build to extend their passion for creating incredible things.

Today, Kyle’s life is centered around his faith in Jesus Christ, leading and loving his family and enjoying every waking minute he has in this wonderful creation we call life.
