Modern Living Room Remodel
Bend, Oregon.
With the purchase of a classic ranch home in Bend, Oregon, a young couple knew that they had their work cut out for them to revitalize their new 1977-built home. Along with other larger design scope at the property, Life Design Build was hired to design and build a modern and simple interior remodel of the house’s living room.
The design’s anchor and focus started with dark, contrasting walls, rich and warm custom-milled douglas fir shelving, and a luscious sectional anyone would want to dive into.
As the main room in the house for the kids to play (outside of their own rooms), the couple wanted the room to accommodate extensive LEGO play and storage, rough-housing, and TV/movie watching, but also wanted it to be inviting for adults - calm, comfortable, and also the place to store a good amount of the family’s books.
