Slade Auel has been a carpenter in construction for over 10 years, in almost every aspect of the field - residential new construction, remodeling, and commercial work. When he started a family however, he got away from commercial work to prioritize a more family-friendly schedule and lifestyle, and has since been focused on the residential market.
Slade enjoys remodeling due to the constant variety and nuance of every project… in every aspect - it keeps his mind challenged and fluid, and allows him to work directly with homeowners to see their dreams built. For Slade, the best part of being a builder is the gratification of seeing the before and after. His specialties range from fine woodworking to tile and slate - all of which bring out the perfectionist in him. This passion and talent for building spurred Slade to start his own company Barn Owl Construction, which he spearheads along with his roles and responsibilities with Life Design Build.
In his free time, Slade loves getting outside - camping, backpacking and hunting (bow… for elk or deer).
