Working on a tight budget and an even tighter schedule, a young couple who recently relocated from Colorado to Bend, Oregon hired Life Design Build to give the kitchen of their newly purchased home a quick make-over.

The focus of the project was to convert the kitchen’s peninsula to a true walk-around island, update all of the appliances, including a new range hood, and remove an awkward and unusable built-in bench (with cushion). In doing so, the team made the most of the existing cabinetry, giving them a new paint and soft-close hardware, replaced the tile countertops with a brighter quartz, added new backsplash tile, and made repairs and patches to the existing flooring.
